Andy Penniceard

Andy has coached and taught for many years, his passions are any sport with an egg shaped ball. After playing both Union at Battersea Ironsides and League at South London Storm and not getting any younger, Andy was looking for a game to play that was less contact. He started playing social touch on the common in South West London in January 2016 and he loved it. He had no idea there was another level until he went down to a CSSC Touch Rugby training session and actually saw how this game was played, high speed, structure, skilled. He was blown away. He launched Wolves Rugby Club to introduce this amazing sport to youngsters including his children who now all play. Since then he has played and managed England squads and has coached the England mixed U15's team since September 2017 and lead them to the first ever Gold at a Junior Touch Championship. For 2020 Andy will be coaching the girls England U18's squad as well as his normal obligations coaching at Harlequins DPP and the Women's 1st and 2nd 15 at Battersea Ironsides. When asked about why he coached he said "I get a lot of satisfaction watching peoples abilities develop and I love the game, also a fantastic ways of meeting friends for life".
