Wolves is London's dedicated junior touch rugby club for boys and girls aged 11 to 17. We train every Friday evening, at Tooting Bec Athletics Track from September to March and on Wandsworth Common from March to July.

 

Every player gets the chance to try out for South East regional and England selection. More than 52 Wolves players have been picked for England squads, and the 2025/26 season was our best yet for selections. Players who came through Wolves have gone on to play for England and Scotland at Open level, the top level of the sport, including European Championship gold with England.

 

Our story

Wolves started as Wandsworth Touch Rugby Club in December 2016, because there were no inclusive clubs where kids could play touch. Ten years on, we're here for the same reason.

 

Not every child wants the same thing from sport. Some love rugby but don't want contact. Some want to be part of a team, some want to sharpen their handling and decision making, and some just want a run around with their friends. Touch rugby, played properly, has a place for all of them.

 

The club was founded by Andy Penniceard, who is still our head coach. Andy has been head coach of England's girls' U18s for five years, winning gold every year, most recently at Warwick.
